Home Sweet Home

Where do I start? Our trip to Arizona was husband's escape from snow...or was it! After breaking in the new RAZ in the desert (which I must say was WONDERFUL!!!), we went to our timeshare in Pinetop. The morning after getting there, know what I'm going to say....SNOWED to the point of covering the truck.

We were inside the timeshare for three days because of it AND the t.v. reception was knocked out. Thus the pic of poor husband staring out the window sorrowfully.

We went for lots of walks, had a great time at the zoo, Cardinal Stadium, eating at Margaritaville, looked at a bunch of homes, "almost" bought a winter home (they wouldn't accept our cash offer), seeing movies, enjoying time with cousins and my maid of honor from 40 years ago!!! and enjoying the sight of flowers and grass. We also went through Chuck's mission area (Southwest Indian Mission) and the Dairy Queen was still there. He was very excited! Have you ever had a giraffe lick your hand??? I HAVE! There is a lot to do in Arizona and it has its own beauty.

I must tell you, however, the best part was coming home. I guess I'm a homebody and that's okay.

We've decided to buy some land and build a cabin for the family to use. We're going out soon to look and probably build next year (too much going on this year with adding a bedroom to the basement). Hubby is excited to be doing something. When Spring actually hits (my bulbs are actually coming up...yea!), the backyard gets to be put in. I'm really excited.

I just came back from watching 2 of the granddaughters while our son looked for a home in Texas. He's been transferred back. Their home sold in 2 days and they had 2days to find a place. The girls and I had a great time. I'm thankful for my GPS to get me around because I was clueless where I was. We ventured into the convention center for Radio Disney Kids Day and the girls climbed the rock wall, rode ponies, watched the Clique Girls (???), played miniature golf, danced, went inside the "Party Girl" limo, rode a get the drift. Afterwards, I took the to the park to play and then we crashed! It was fun spending time with the kids and the baby (who got to fly on the plane). I think they're excited about meeting up with old friends and their "new" adventure.

Looks like fun! Were those nachos dad was eating? Holy cow! Glad you are both home, it's not the same when you are gone!
