The 3 turn "two"

The three little ones have turned "TWO"...look out world, here they come!!  Mary turned 2 two weeks ago; James, yesterday and Owen, in 3 weeks.  It's been fun watching them grow and develop their personalities.  "Big" James helped celebrate "Little" James' special day by harassing his nieces on the trampoline.  I couldn't get the pic of "AFTER JAMES CAME DOWN ON THE TRAMPOLINE AND THE GIRLS WENT UP"...but it was cool...girls flying all over the place...like they had been launched into space!  Celebrating the birthday was also the introduction of "Titus"...Dan's ONLY male in the estrogen-based family that he has.  Sweet little brown lab who is very mellow, 6 weeks old and loves the kids.  Came home to the SPIDER ON MY PORCH!!!!!  Hello.......freeked out!  Luckily Jay took care of it.  Told Chuck, he is spraying this week all around the house.  YUK!

New Mexico Trip

Can I say HOT FOOD!!! Oh my gosh...everytime we had Mexican food...it was soooooo hot! They even tell you on the menu, it's going to be hot...but it was HOT! We saw some beautiful places, Tent Rock (beautiful canyon with rocks that looked like something at Disneyland), Bandelier Monument (which was a village built in the rocks), Los Alamos (where the Atomic bomb was built) and dinner with our friends, the Onstotts.

Chuck was in heaven because of the lightning and thunderstorms that hit at night. We stayed on the porch overlooking the pool and watching nature's lightshow while we sipped hot chocolate!

We enjoyed having dinner with our friends and "Granola" (Kristy's friend, Ranee) from school. Once again the lightning made Chuck's night. Maryann showed us her beautiful quilts. She has "Best of Show" awards and one quilt is hanging up at the State Capitol! Lee is quite proficient in making pottery that they use in his spare time. They love it in Santa Fe.

We had a great time at Tent Rock, but did't realize we would be hiking to the top of the mountain. We started the "walk" around noon in sandals. We were only going to the canyon because it was so high up. We kept walking and before we knew it...we were at the top! It was a beautiful hike through canyons and unbelievable rock formations. There was only one spot that was tricky and I had a sore thigh muscle from an accident a couple of days before, so it was even more tricky. You can see the pic of us trying to figure out how to get down...you should have seen us trying to get up! (It looked worse being there!) Luckily there was a breeze and we had water. I did have one fatality...my expensive ECHO sandals died.

The whole trip was great...we saw and learned lots of things that I had forgotten about in my history classes. The Los Alamos museum was fascinating. I had forgotten about the "city that never was". Wow.

Busy July...I love it!

Dave and Audra and family stopped by for a couple of days on the way home from their vacation. It was fun seeing how the baby had grown and the girls are getting so big now. We had a really nice visit. Dave got to fly down for a day to put a bid on a possible site for his company. We're hoping it goes through so we can see more of him.

Kristy and her family came up for a couple of weeks. We saw (the kids were asleep) fireworks from our driveway, went camping (does the word "microburst" mean anything?), went swimming, went to Hill Airforce Base, saw a movie, went for rides on a miniature train, went to an "Abba" concert at the park, made tutus and just enjoyed each other's company. The time goes too fast. The cousins loved playing with each other. Us girl's went out for some "me" time and hit Tai Pan and Gardener Village. It was very nice to have all 3 girls together again.

The boys drove to California to load our youngest and his family up and I went down w/Kris and the kids later. I drove back with Brie and Khloe and the next day Chuck and I went to New Mexico for a planned vacation from last year. More on that later when I get pics.

She's Here!!!

Evelyn Kinsley Boyack was born August 5, 2008. She weighed 7 lb. even and was 18 3/4 " long. The kids sent pics but I haven't been able to get them on the computer yet. Natalie had a much better delivery this time and is loving her new little one. Big brother, Owen, loves her to pieces and so does Kamryn. Of course, she came after I had already left for home. We're thrilled.
